the singaporean dream.
the 5 C's.
who doesn't wanna grow up and drive that flashy convertible, live near town or an upmarket area, have a trophy wife, attend high profiled social events, travel to exotic holiday destinations on a whim?

my friends and i sat down over coffee discussing what ifs..

in reality, alot of us many not achieve that dream.
we might just live in a 5 room flat or perhaps a nice condominium.
drive a wholesome family car like the toyota camry or nissan sunny.
have 2 children who does ok in school.
go for year end family holidays.
a very normal average family life.

what if?
i didn't mind NOT having that singaporean dream.

are my expectations too low or am i just being realistic?

truthfully,
it would be nice.
having a hubby who drives me to work in the mornings.
normal average kids.
live in a 5 room flat.
have only one car and its a family car.
go to church on weekends.
have some spare cash to buy the occasional extravagance.
sign my children up for piano or violin lessons.
the only social events in our lives are family events or that of close friends.
have money for a rainy day.
year end holidays to some nice destination.
HAVE the normal average life my parents are leading now.

it wouldn't be that bad now would it?
