My Boyfriend is Type B
i went to watch the above movie today. i'm a sucker for sweet sappy romance movies.
this one was perfect to the T. boy meets girl under undesirable circumstances. fate brings them together. break up because of certain things and finally TA-DA! back together again after boy touches girl's heart with his "immense" sacrifice. happily ever after.i think i'm a rather big fan of korean movies. it has a certain sort of humour and quirkiness to it. alright since i'm on the topic of romance flicks. here goes my list....

Ever After: A Cinderella Story
1. EVER AFTER . beautiful beautiful show. drew barrymore. the whole story. the magical faraway feel. the gripping scenes where she nearly lost her prince. her evil stepmom. now i really feel like watching it now again. and drew (i cant remember her screen name) appearing at the ball with her wings, the glittery makeup and beautiful gown. priceless. -sigh- makes me not mind working 20 years as a maid under harsh conditions if i can snag a prince such as hers. i cried buckets i remember.
Jeux d'enfants
2. JEUX D'ENFANTS (Love Me If You Dare) amazing plot. i thought the plot was damn unique, revolving around that metal tin can (whatever u call it). perhaps after this post, i shall dig out the dvd to watch it for the umpteenth time. heh. i especially loved the part where they were kids and there was this portion where there was the make belief adam and eve story. ahhh.the ending was rather twisted but i LOVE it nonetheless.
Pretty Woman
3. how can any list such as this go without PRETTY WOMAN. the legendary film that made Julia Roberts an A-List actress. and Richard Gere, my hunky dory. he ages beautifully, i just watched shall we dance on dvd a few weeks back and that guy is getting hotter. who cares if hes a devout buddhist and old? this movie has all the makings of a romance flick's winning formula. girl from poor sad background, guy who is filthy rich falls in love with her and saves her from her sorry state. but who am i to complain?
Notting Hill
4. i am just a girl standing infront of a boy asking him to love her. ( it goes something like that doesn't it?) NOTTING HILL. hugh grant. the sole reason for my love of this movie. its humorous yet sweet, it sorts of twists that chord inside of your heart and hugh grant's unseemingly ditzy character together with his floppy hair. suddenly, it seems like making a star fall in love with u isn't all that difficult. and his room mate is hilarious. and plus who can forget the song: when u say nothing at all? ronan keating. haha.

5. its a TIE! between LOVE ACTUALLY and SHREK.
Love Actually: A list cast. nice chrismassy feeling. how can we forget hugh grant. and colin firth. kiera knightly!! and billy mack singing that song! that laughoutloud rendition of shit i forgot the name of that song. ah who cares, im sure u know eh? i esp. like hugh grant acting as a prime minister. heh. proper suit and tie. oh yes, the spore screening censored a whole portion yes? a great feel-good movie. makes me wanna just melt with the christmas spirit.

and SHREK: u might say, how can an animation film count as a romance flick? this is my list so dont argue ok. i like shrek alot. the element of prince charming thwarted to be an ogre. watch it and u'll know why. Princess Fiona turned out to be an ogre too! but u know. if a person truly loves u, it goes just beyond the outward appearance. :)
